Day of rest

After a few fun filled days, we slowed it down a bit today. After breakfast, grandmom and grandad went to the aqua class while others headed to the lagoon beach.  Around 1230, Rob and Linda went to the koi fish feeding. Rian happened by and fed them, then grandad came by and fed them too. He also got to see a heron in the tree near the pond.  We all had lunch and cleaned up then headed out farrington highway all the way to the end!  It runs up the coast so we were treated to great scenery of the ocean, but also of the mountains.  We saw Mahaka beach (where modern surfing was born) and in the return trip stopped at a local place to share our first authentic Hawaiian shave ice. It was delicious!  Dinner and settled in for a quiet evening.
